Letter from the Locust Valley School District Board of Education
Statement to Our Community on Superintendent Departure Falcon Family,
This past Fall, the Board of Education extended a revised contract to Dr. Kenneth Graham our Superintendent, committing additional years and dollars to demonstrate our commitment and focus on working together to continue the traditions and innovations of our School District, our children, and our families.
Dr. Graham informed the Board of Education that he pursued and was selected to become the Superintendent of another district here on Long Island. He made this decision for himself, his family, and his own professional pursuits. We thank him for his service over the last three years.
The Board of Education is excited to announce that Dr. Janine Sampino our Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, has agreed to become our Interim Acting Superintendent for the remainder of the school year. She will assume this role effective this evening, Thursday, January 26. We are very appreciative of her willingness to continue supporting the children of Locust Valley.
As always, the Board of Education thanks the entire community for their support and trust in our administration.
Falcon Strong!
The Locust Valley Central School District Board of Education
